Silver Kiddush Cups

A fabulous collection of silver kiddush cups is available at Baltinester Bros. All the cups featured in this category are individually handcrafted by expert artists at the top of their class. Traditionally, these Kiddush cups are used for reciting the Kiddush - a blessing said over the wine in honor of the Jewish Sabbath and Holidays. The blessing is recited over red or white wine and grape juice, before the meal on the evening and morning of the special day. Every Kiddush ends with the special blessing over the wine -  "Bore Pri HaGafen", which means - "creator of the fruit of the vine".

There are two basic designs of silver kiddush cups both of which are on our site. The Sephardic traditional cup which has no stem or base, and the Ashkenazik traditional cup shaped like a goblet, with a stem and a base. All our cups enjoy fantastic designs, including marvelous enamel work, dazzling filigree work, sensational hammered texture, stunning Jerusalem skyline decoration, great modern angles, original dual cup, and awsome Yemenite motifs.

All of the cups found at Baltinester Jewelry are solely made of 925 marked sterling silver. All the cups are beautifully  gilded (24k gold plated), to insure that the harsh taste of the silver from affecting the sweet taste of the wine.
