At Baltinester Jewelry we're always happy to create custom-made orders for our clientele. We do it with the greatest of pleasure so that you – the customer – can have the jewelry you've always dreamed of.
We work with a team of exceptionally talented local artists who put all their might into creating custom designs whenever we receive such a request from a customer.
We, Baltinester Jewelry, are in touch with these artists, discuss with them the best way of designing and executing the custom ordered piece, give further input on the design during the manufacturing process, and give the final ok on the item, until the customer's general idea transforms into a physical, detailed, actual piece of Jewelry.
In addition to what has been explained so far, sometimes custom-made designs include extra expenses that you – the customer – will never hear about. This is because it is not our policy to charge the customer extra for such expenses (cost of a jewelry mold, for example, and other changing expenses depending on the ordered item).
Based on all of the above, copyright on custom-made orders belongs solely, and by law - automatically, to Baltinester Jewelry and the artist who created the actual item. This is our right and it is founded and supported by Israeli law. As such, we do not guarantee that we will not create nor sell matching or similar items to the custom-made item requested by the customer.
Nevertheless, if you wish to have an absolutely one-of-a-kind custom made order, we will be more than happy to discuss satisfactory compensation for the unique item, provided it is discussed prior to the manufacturing process. This enables us to calculate the price of the requested item in a manner that is fair to you – the customer, us – Baltinester Jewelry, and the local artist. Once such an agreement is reached, we pledge neither to create nor sell items that are identical to the item you've ordered and received.
We wish to emphasize that a general idea for a piece of jewelry relayed to us either orally or verbally by email, fax, or other form of communication – is considered just that: a general idea or impression of something that might, or might not, be created at some future time.
There are many generic ideas for jewelry in the marketplace today and we cannot, and will not, create custom-orders on the assumption that a mere idea or notion is grounds for copyright. On the contrary, the actual creation of a three dimensional piece of jewelry by our artists is grounds for copyright, along with Baltinester Jewelry's input on different parameters of the said item (length, width, thickness, base-material, finish, and other jewelry-making parameters we see fit, according to our expert opinion of over 60 years.)
We sincerely appreciate our customers and are willing to go great length in order to insure your satisfaction; however we respectfully request your understanding and cooperation on this matter of copyright of custom-made orders.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact us – either via email or by phone – and we will be more than happy to answer any questions.
