Eshet Chayil, a 22-verse poem that outlines the characteristics of the perfect Jewish woman, is found in Proverbs 31, verses 10-31. Eshet Chayil traditionally is sung as a tribute to the mother or matriarch of the family and an ode to the strength and qualities of a Jewish woman.
