This Kosher Mezuzah Parchment Scroll is the most important part of the mezuzah. The mezuzah case is just a decorative holder for the mezuzah itself. The scroll contains the passage of Shema Israel, which is a reminder of G-d’s constant presence and His protection over us. In order for the mezuzah to be kosher, or appropriate for use, the passage has to be written on a special piece of parchment made from animal skin, using special ink, written by an experienced, qualified scribe.
